Unboxing
Wow, this unboxing is smooth. Look at this! Right on top, they’ve placed the phone – ah, there’s something so satisfying about it! This is the new design of the V90 series, and it looks super cool, especially with that big ring light. But we’ll talk more about it in a bit. Let’s see what else is in the box.

Here we have the V90 and the V90 Pro. First impression – they both look super premium. Compared to last year, the camera module has been changed slightly. There are two cutouts – one for the camera and the other for the ring light, which is now even bigger. From the front, it’s looking quite sleek with a curved display. Both phones feel slim and lightweight. Let’s check the weight – shouldn’t be more than 190 grams.
Whoa! 190, 191 grams, so close! This phone is only 7.45 mm thin. If you like slim phones, you’ll definitely like this one. It’s a lightweight, slim phone with a glass back and gloss finish. And guess what – no fingerprints! The V90 Pro has a matte finish that looks premium too.
Design and Display Upgrades in the V90 Series
The V90 series feels super premium in hand. On the front, you have a 6.78-inch, 1.5K ultra-clear 3D curved display with a 120Hz refresh rate and a peak brightness of 2800 nits. It’s definitely an upgrade from the V29 series, which had a full HD+ display. Here, they’ve increased it to 1.5K. It’s HDR-certified, so you can watch HDR content on it.
Look at this display quality – wow! The colors are vibrant with deep blacks and a slight contrast. The bezels are minimal, almost invisible on the sides, with just a tiny chin at the bottom. Multimedia experience is top-notch here. Imagine watching 4K videos on this display – that would be an amazing experience!
Peak Brightness for Indoor and Outdoor Use
The display brightness is super high, whether you’re indoors or outdoors – visibility is no issue. They’ve used Schott Sensation Alpha glass for protection. Let’s do a quick drop test. Ready? One, two, three – nothing happened! Just a few bubbles on the tempered glass, but the phone is perfectly fine.
Battery and Charging in Vivo V90 Series
There’s a 5000mAh battery here with 80W fast charging. Last year’s V29 series had a 4600mAh battery, and they’ve increased it to 5000mAh while keeping the phone slim. In fact, you can call this the slimmest phone with a 5000mAh battery. The 80W charger charges it from 0 to 100% in around 48-50 minutes. Plus, the battery is tested for longevity – Vivo says you won’t have to worry about it for four years.
Storage and Performance
The V90 Pro comes with 8GB RAM and 256GB storage in the base variant, and there’s a higher variant with 12GB RAM and 256GB storage with LPDDR5 RAM. The V90 comes with 8GB RAM and 128GB storage in the base variant with LPDDR4X RAM and UFS 2.1 storage.
There’s a dual SIM slot, a Type-C port, and a single loudspeaker, which sounds pretty good. On the right, you’ve got the power button and volume buttons, and at the top, there’s a noise-cancellation mic. It’s got all the necessary sensors, dual-band WiFi, and runs on Funtouch OS 14 based on the latest Android 14.
Camera and Photography Experience with Zeiss
Now, the camera is where it gets exciting! It has a 50MP main autofocus camera with OIS, a 50MP wide camera, and Zeiss optics. The V90 Pro brings a flagship-grade camera. Indoor photos look sharp and detailed, with natural skin tones. The colors are close to reality, thanks to the Zeiss collaboration.
It also has a Zeiss portrait mode with six styles, letting you click photos in different styles. The ring light is bigger and smarter, perfect for low-light photography. You can shoot videos in 4K at 60fps, and the front camera records at 1080p 30fps. The cinematic mode also has cool filters like Nostalgia and Retro, making it great for cinematic videos.
Gaming Performance and Multitasking
For performance, the V90 Pro uses MediaTek’s Dimensity 8200 chip, which is powerful and smooth. Graphics are fluid, and there’s no lag. It also has an ultra-large cooling system to manage heat during long gaming sessions. Multitasking is seamless, and even with heavy gaming, there’s no issue. Dual-band WiFi and all necessary sensors are present, making it a solid all-rounder.
